Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this enduring material, you should be able to accomplish the following:

- Decide when to use ultrasound to guide musculoskeletal injections
- Demonstrate how to position and prepare patients for different types of ultrasound guided injections
- Distinguish between different techniques of needle visualization using ultrasound
- Recognize different approaches to joint and soft tissue injections of the musculoskeletal system
- Incorporate appropriate billing practices for ultrasound guided injections
TARGET AUDIENCE
Physicians, PA’s, sonographers and other medical professionals who will be involved with performing and/or assisting with ultrasound-guided MSK interventions. Physicians may include (but is not limited to) PM&R, orthopedic, sports medicine, rheumatology, pain management, primary care, internal medicine, and radiology.
