MSK Ultrasound Imaging Fundamentals Training Video is designed to provide an overview of basic ultrasound imaging principles, transducer selection, system optimization, factors contributing to image quality, normal Musculoskeletal anatomy characteristics, and commonly seen imaging artifacts in MSK ultrasound.

OBJECTIVES
- State the principles of sound generation and image processing.
- Select the appropriate transducer for the various musculoskeletal ultrasound applications.
- Optimize system controls for accurate display of the target anatomy.
- Recognize normal ultrasound characteristics of bone, muscle, cartilage, tendons, nerves, and ligaments.
- Identify commonly seen image artifacts and apply techniques to resolve.
Target Audience
Physicians, sonographers and other medical professionals at an entry level of performing and/or interpreting MSK ultrasound for the evaluation of Ligaments, Muscles, Nerves and Tendons. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) those involved with specialties in: radiology, orthopedics, sports medicine, physical therapy, chiropractics, rheumatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine and family medicine.
