It was an amazing 30^th Birthday for the Society’s Scientific Sessions in Portland, June 21-25, 2019!

In 1989, color Doppler had just appeared and the first TEEs were done…after 30 years of innovation, echo has undoubtedly become the most indispensable technique in the cardiologist’s toolbox and a must-have in many other medical and surgical specialties.

The overarching theme of the 30th Annual Scientific Sessions was echo’s role as a bridge builder.
